Scope and Contents
The materials in the collection cover Gosnell's time as a trustee at Skidmore and his involvement with the college for a decade or so afterwards. The collection consists of mostly paper records with some photographs and bound records. The subjects covered include trustee papers, publications, correpondence, aduit committee records, public relations records, and invitations.

Biographical / Historical
Charles F. Gosnell was a Skidmore trustee from 1945 to 1969. He was active in libraries, serving on the board of the American Library Association during the 1960s. At Skidmore he was involved with the auditing committee from 1948 to 1962 and public relations from 1929 to 1969. He helped oversee the building of the new campus in the 1960s and was involved with the library on campus from 1939 to 1967.

The collection consists of subject files from trustee Charles F. Gosnell including trustee papers, auditing committee records, and public relations papers among other things. The materials consist of paper records with some news clippings and one or two photographs.
The collection is arranged alphabetically within each series by folder title.
